Full-time Warehouse Supervisor for the Picking/Packing department needed immediately! This position is located in Greensboro. Pay rate based on work history and experience level.
The Supervisor is responsible for driving targets and supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager on the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the team is target driven and is working as efficient as possible to ensure that luxury customer service is maintained at all times.
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Packing Supervisor will manage a growing team and the packing process to ensure all levels of the operations in the department are met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Supervisor will be responsible to ensure that the team is trained to deliver efficiently luxury packaging of items in a fast manner, from picking through to despatch. In addition, the Supervisor will coordinate the Packaging process and the Packaging team to achieve company targets and customer expectations. The Supervisor will lead by example.
The steps to ensure this process are as follows:
-Ensure that items are quality checked and handled with care at all times * To have an understanding of customer service, be passionate and take ownership and care of all stock and orders within the required speed to ensure that the items are dispatched within the right time frame
-To train and motivate the staff and implement any improvements necessary in the packing process * Liaise with the DHL drivers when collecting shipments and ensure that manifests are printed punctually and correctly * Ensure prompt action is taken with any customer complaints that arise from neglect of any of the parts of the packing process and investigate immediately * Assisting with quarterly stock takes * Be prepared to assist with other departments in the warehouse as and when required * Be aware of the HR policies and procedures and carry out any necessary paperwork efficiently and within designated timescales * Performance management including appraisals, Return to Work and coaching. * Management of holiday and absence.
Health and Safety
-Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety legislation / guidelines for self and staff at all times. * Carry out internal health and safety audits as and when requested. * Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. * Carry out investigations into any accidents or near-miss incidents.
* Brief staff weekly on operational targets and achievements. * Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame. * Provide warehouse management with end of day / shift handover information.
