Mancan is hiring for a manufacturing facility in Donora, PA, is seeking a skilled Cylindrical Grinder Operator with manufacturing experience. The primary responsibility of the operator will be to operate the cylindrical grinder with precision, working within tight tolerances to produce high-quality parts. Attention to detail and a keen eye for precision are essential for success in this role. We have openings on 1st (7am-3pm) and 3rd (11pm-7am) available. Pay is based on experience starting at $15.50
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal workpieces.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine grinding requirements.
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure they conform to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to specifications.
Adjust machine controls to achieve the desired results and maintain quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on the grinding equipment as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and meet production targets.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in operating cylindrical grinders.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with tight tolerances.
Familiarity with reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
Basic understanding of precision measuring instruments.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
