Job Title: Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Technician

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
Responsibilities:

Diagnostic Analysis: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, brake system repairs, suspension adjustments, and cooling system maintenance.

Parts Replacement: Replace faulty or worn-out parts, including but not limited to, belts, hoses, filters, alternators, starters, injectors, and fuel pumps.

Electrical Systems: Repair and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, batteries, and electronic components. Diagnose and rectify complex electrical malfunctions.

Hydraulic Systems: Service and repair hydraulic systems for various applications, such as lift gates, hydraulic brakes, and dump trailers.

Welding and Fabrication: Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify truck and trailer components as needed.

Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of heavy-duty vehicles to identify safety and compliance issues. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Complete work orders and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
Working Hours - Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
Pay rate - $17-$28/hr. depending on experience. Resume and Interview required.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal heavy-duty truck and trailer technician training program is preferred.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrain systems, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues and develop effective solutions.
Mechanical Aptitude: Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as welding equipment. Proficiency in performing tasks like engine repair, brake adjustments, and parts replacement.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in conducting inspections, identifying issues, and accurately documenting repairs and maintenance activities.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Experience: Previous experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer repair is beneficial.
