Medical Receptionist
Local medical practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with their inquiries. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, organizing, and updating patient information
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage
- Collect patient payments and provide accurate billing information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Requirements
- Previous experience working in medical setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
