Forklift Operator

Mancan Staffing is seeking Forklift Operators for our client in Norwalk, Ohio.
Position Summary:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Forklift Operators! This role is hands-on, physical, and requires attention
to detail and a strong commitment to safety. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the flow of daily operations.
Must be comfortable working outside in any climate due to most of the work being outdoors!
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate forklift in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations
• Load, Unload, move and stack materials and products as directed
• Verify load contents against documents such as purchase orders, bills of lading, or pick tickets to ensure accuracy
• Stage materials in designated areas to support efficient workflow and minimize disruption to operations
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as required
• Identify and report damaged, mislabeled, or incorrectly stored product to a supervisor.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift certification required, or ability to obtain certification upon hire
• Previous experience working a lumber yard or mill is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Must be a dependable team player with a proactive work ethic
• Must be comfortable working outside in any climate throughout the year
1st shift - $18/hour
8am-5pm Monday-Friday (OT can be expected)
