Mancan Staffing is hiring on behalf of a reputable manufacturing company in Tallmadge, OH who is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and manually operated machine tools to produce high-precision metal parts. The ideal candidate will have experience in program editing using G and M codes and be capable of setting up fixtures as outlined in process sheets. Experience with GibbsCAM software is a strong plus.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools according to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Edit G-code and M-code programs to ensure efficient and accurate machining.
• Set up fixtures and tooling as required by individual programs.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in CNC machining and manual machine operation.
• Proficiency in reading and editing G and M codes.
• Familiarity with GibbsCAM programming software (preferred but not required).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read technical drawings and process sheets.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
