Finishers and press operators needed in Ashtabula for a reputable facility. Open roles are for 2nd shift. Will be training on 1st shift.
Department hours.
1st shift – 6am – 2pm
2nd shift – 3pm-11pm
3rd shift – 10pm – 6am
Once trained in the finishing department will rotate to train in the press department.
Pay starts out at $17.00 an hour with the potential of $20.29 an hour after 90 days.
Essential Job Requirements
Operate Overhead hoists for loading and unloading product
Follow work instructions for specific tasks related to the processing and packaging of refractories.
Review standard procedures and follow appropriate steps
Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
Knowledge, Skills, and General Abilities
Ability to read basic product drawings.
Ability to use various measuring devices.
Ability to drive forklift when necessary
Mechanical and analytical ability considered a plus.
CNC machining experience considered a plus.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience in manufacturing atmosphere a plus.
Physical Requirements
Job requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying up to 75 lbs., wearing all personal protective equipment when necessary (including hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, ear plugs and respirator when required)
Ability to work in a variety of working conditions including but not limited to heat, dust, noise, and confined spaces on occasion.
Regular, predictable attendance is required; as business demands dictate.
Working Environment
Moderate to high noise level.
Ability to work in a confined area.
Ability to stand and bend over multiple times in a day.
