Mancan in seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Line Operator to join our Toronto-based manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on our production line, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing process. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to rotate across all 3 shifts. The Production Line Operator will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the production of high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
-Operate machinery and equipment on the production line to assemble, package, and process products according to established standards and procedures.
-Perform quality control checks at various stages of production to ensure products meet specifications and maintain high levels of quality.
-Monitor equipment for proper functioning and promptly report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
-Lift and move materials, components, and finished products as required, adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
-Follow production schedules and instructions to meet production targets and deadlines.
-Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot problems, implement process improvements, and achieve operational goals.
-Adhere to rotating shift schedules. Full-time schedule may fall across Monday-Sunday. Must be open to occasional overtime.
-Document production activities, including quantities produced, materials used, and any relevant observations.
-Continuously monitor the quality of the products and identify defects or inconsistencies for immediate correction.
Requirements:
-Good physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods of time during shifts.
-Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of products.
-Ability to lift and move heavy objects following proper lifting techniques.
-Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including potential overtime and occasional Saturdays.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits:
-Hourly pay rate of $16.00 per hour.
-Opportunity for a pay increase to $19.60 per hour upon transitioning from a temporary to a permanent position.
-Potential for overtime pay.
-Access to company benefits (after transitioning to a permanent position).
