Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite (Monday–Friday, with some weekends and overtime as required)
Pay: Based on experience $22-$24 to start
Job Summary
The Automated CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering specifications. This role ensures quality, accuracy, and efficiency in machining operations and adheres to safety and performance standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up CNC machines, including loading raw materials, securing workpieces, and selecting proper tooling.
* Operate machines within defined tolerances and quality specifications.
* Monitor machining processes and make real-time adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
* Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify part accuracy.
* Edit CNC programs as necessary to improve efficiency and part quality.
* Conduct routine maintenance on machines and replace worn tooling to avoid downtime.
* Maintain accurate production logs, tooling records, and part verification reports.
* Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and organized at all times.
* Follow safety protocols and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Support other manufacturing tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or CNC operation preferred.
* Experience with both lathes and milling machines is a plus.
* Basic understanding of G-code programming and machine edits preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to work standing for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
* Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, and occasional airborne particles.
* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
* Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required for handling tools and making adjustments.
