*Position: Forklift Driver - DayShift (5 am - 3:30 pm)
**Location: A Canfield Aluminum Company
**Position Purpose/Function: A Canfield Aluminum Company is seeking a skilled Forklift Driver for our dayshift. This vital role involves the safe and efficient movement of materials within our production facility. The Forklift Driver will transport buggies and racks, load billets, and unload billet trucks to contribute to our operational excellence.
**Essential Functions:
- Ensure accurate and timely supply of billets to support press operations.
- Execute efficient buggy changes to minimize downtime.
**Other Responsibilities:
- Load scrap and manage truck loading, adhering to safety standards.
- Unload trucks and billet trucks as required.
- Maintain billet inventory accuracy and uphold billet room cleanliness.
- Secure loose billets using proper banding techniques.
**Physical Job Demands:
- Perform physically demanding tasks including bending, heavy lifting, climbing, and foot control operation.
**Working Conditions:
- Adapt to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Operate in a noisy environment and work around moving equipment.
**Skill Requirements:
- Proficient forklift operation skills.
- Accurate reading and interpretation of tape measures.
- Familiarity with billet paperwork and documentation.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
**Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification.
**Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a maximum of 2 points on the driving record.
- A resume demonstrating at least 3 years of experience as a forklift operator.
- Consent to drug testing and driving record search.
**Shift Timing:
- Afternoon Shift: 5 Am to 3:30Pm
**Compensation:
- Hourly wage: $17
