Mancan Staffing, in partnership with a prestigious company in Caldwell, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Laminator Operator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production and quality of products run on the Laminator. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, productivity, reliability, and team engagement. Success in this position relies on the individual’s motivation, determination, and continuous participation in improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain strict adherence to personal and environmental safety guidelines at all times.
- Measure workpiece dimensions using various instruments to ensure accuracy in machine operations.
- Review work orders to determine setup procedures, machining sequences, and dimensions of finished workpieces.
- Consistently utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Clean and store rollers, quads, and pans used in production; load appropriate paper onto the paper stand.
- Mix inks and coatings according to job order specifications.
- Monitor production details such as pressures, temperatures, roll size, job specifications, and oven settings.
- Mount foil or film onto machine fixtures using electric lifts, overhead cranes, and hand tools.
- Observe and listen to machines to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Ensure materials meet customer specifications regarding color, size, thickness, and quantity.
- Regulate speed, temperature, and pressure of laminating rollers.
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean and orderly machine and work area.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality guidelines.
- Collect and report data accurately.
- Complete shop floor reports, laminator production reports, and quality verification processes.
- Effectively communicate job status with co-workers and shifts to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot work-related problems by evaluating issues and discussing them with the team and management.
- Maintain awareness of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) as required.
- Perform changeovers and communicate with maintenance as necessary.
- Lead and support the 5S initiative in the work area.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Demonstrated desire to learn new skills and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and PRMS systems.
- Lean/Continuous Improvement orientation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of laminating processes.
