🔧 Are you a master of metal? Can you read blueprints like a pro, weld like a boss, and bring precision to every cut and fit? Mancan Staffing is looking for a skilled Structural Fitter who’s ready to level up their career with a dynamic and expanding company.
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to create structural frames, machinery bases, piping systems, and pressure vessels — all while ensuring top-notch quality and code compliance. This isn’t cookie-cutter work — it’s skilled craftsmanship with purpose!
🔥 Daily Duties Include:
✔️ Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering specs
✔️ Lay out and position parts with precision using calipers, squares, and rulers
✔️ Tack-weld and weld components in various positions
✔️ Cut, grind, and prep materials to exact specifications
✔️ Perform test inspections (hydrostatic, x-ray, dimensional tolerance)
✔️ Heat, bend, and form metal parts with expert technique
✔️ Develop templates and work aids to streamline fabrication
✔️ Analyze and adjust based on materials, equipment, and requirements
🎯 What We’re Looking For:
✔️ 3+ years of experience OR 2 years vocational + 1 year on-the-job training
✔️ Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, materials, and structural layouts
✔️ Ability to work independently and meet tight tolerances
✔️ Familiarity with welding codes, safety, and inspection standards
✔️ Passion for quality work and a desire to grow with the company
