Mancan is proud to assist a Mogadore-based silicone manufacturing company looking for a 1st shift Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Hours Monday-Friday 7am-3p (hours may vary)
Pay $18/hr BOE
The primary responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
The right candidate can respond to a breakdown and know what to do or figure out what to do.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on industrial equipment, including machinery, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to determine necessary repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and prevent equipment failures.
• Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment logs and work orders.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff, production personnel, and supervisors to address maintenance issues and minimize downtime.
• Operate hand and power tools, forklifts, hoists, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures to enhance equipment performance and reduce repair costs.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment, such as welders, multimeters, and hand tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to industrial equipment maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment, parts, and materials (up to 50 lbs).
Must have a clean background and be willing to pass a drug test.
