Mancan is assisting a thriving Akron manufacturing company who is seeking an experienced Purchasing Clerk to join their team!
Full time Temp to perm
$18.25 per hour
Monday – Friday
8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Half an hour lunch
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years’ experience in a factory environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in an office environment with strong interpersonal skills, essential.
• Microsoft Office package skills required.
• Ability to read and write in English, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid unbiased conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from management, co-workers and production employees.
• Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills essential.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Purchase supplies & production material, follow-up on orders as needed.
• Enter, create, prioritize, release and track purchase orders.
• Attain RMA’s/Replacement for purchased product.
• Generate reports as requested.
• Verify physical inventory.
• Source and/or quoting from vendors.
• Maintaining material prices and part number in ERP system.
• Communicate with staff and vendors in a timely manner to solve problems, locate missing information and coordinate confirmation of delivery.
• Provide administrative assistance such as reception and telephone duties, creation and maintenance of records and filing systems, correspondence, spreadsheets, and data entry activities as required of duties.
• Use standard office equipment such as Microsoft software and ERP packages to accomplish tasks.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned.
