Mancan Staffing in partnership with an Ashtabula facility is seeking a 1st shift CNC Programmer/Operator.
Wage: Based on experience.
Location: Ashtabula, OH
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team at our Ashtabula facility. This is a first-shift position offering steady hours and a supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAM software and a strong understanding of 2D geometry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
* Utilize CAM software to create and optimize CNC programs.
* Set up and run machines according to production requirements.
* Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Operator.
* Proficiency with CAM software (such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
* Strong understanding of 2D geometry** and machining principles.
* Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with multiple CNC machine types (mills, lathes, etc.).
* Familiarity with G-code programming.
