Job Title: Machinist – CNC & Manual Milling
Location: Ashtabula, OH
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overview:
An established manufacturing facility in Ashtabula, OH is currently seeking an experienced Machinist with a strong background in CNC and manual milling. This is a first-shift position with stable hours and a hands-on role working with both modern and traditional equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain both CNC and manual milling machines
* Work with Bridgeport mills and surface grinders to produce precision parts
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
* Perform setups, tool changes, and adjustments as needed
* Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or tooling issues
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a machinist in both CNC and manual milling environments
* Hands-on experience with Bridgeport machines and surface grinders is required
* Strong understanding of machining principles and 2D/3D part layouts
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
* Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
* Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a job-shop or low-volume/high-precision environment
* Basic G-code knowledge is a plus
* Familiarity with various materials including steel, aluminum, and plastics
