**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Ashtabula. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in precision machining and the ability to work with various machine tools. This is a temp-to-hire position, and pay will be based on experience. 💼💰
**Responsibilities:**
1. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments like micrometers and Vernier calipers. 📏📐
2. Machine parts to specifications using a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. 🔧🛠️
3. Inspect and test completed units to detect defects and ensure they meet specifications, utilizing precision instruments such as micrometers. 👀🔍
4. Set up, adjust, and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precision machining operations. 🛠️🔩
5. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. 🪛🔗
6. Monitor machine feed and speed during the machining process. ⏳🔄
7. Review sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine fabrication methods, sequences of operations, and product dimensions and tolerances. 📄✏️
8. Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for machinery work. 🧰🛠️
9. Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to indicate placement of cuts. 📏✂️
10. Observe and listen to operating machines to diagnose malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or repairs. 👂🔧
11. Ensure workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during the machining process. 💧❄️
12. Perform maintenance on industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. 🔧🔩🧰
13. Position and fasten workpieces securely. 🪛🪝
14. Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. ✅🔄
15. Install repaired parts into equipment or install new equipment as needed. 🛠️🆕
16. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter. 🧼🔍
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role. 🛠️
- Proficiency in using precision instruments. 📏🔍
- Strong knowledge of machining operations and equipment. 🛠️💡
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. 📄📊
- Solid mechanical aptitude. 🧰🔧
- Excellent problem-solving skills. 💡🔍
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 👁️🔍🌟
- Strong communication and teamwork skills. 🗣️🤝
