Job Description:
The Process Inspector will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and verifying production processes to ensure all castings, molds, and related components meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect castings, molds, cores, and other foundry products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with specifications.
Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and structural integrity using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
Document inspection results, noting defects, deviations, or non-conformance issues for corrective action.
Monitor and audit foundry processes such as melting, pouring, cooling, and finishing to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend process improvements.
Ensure proper use of safety equipment and compliance with all company safety policies.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and support preparation of quality reports for management and customers.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a foundry, manufacturing, or quality inspection role preferred.
Strong understanding of foundry processes and quality control standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
This role requires a strong eye for detail, knowledge of foundry processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with production and quality control teams.
