Material Handler

Experienced Material Handlers Needed in Cambridge, Ohio. Mancan Staffing Agency, in partnership with a reputable company in Cambridge, Ohio, is seeking qualified Material Handlers. The shift hours will be 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday with a rate of pay starting at $15 per hour.
The Material Handler supports injection molding operations by ensuring that all machines are supplied with the proper materials, resins, colorants, and additives. This role includes managing raw material inventory, performing material changes, grinding scrap, maintaining cleanliness in material handling areas, and assisting with efficient machine operation.
Main Responsibilities:
• Deliver raw materials, resins, and colorants to molding machines as scheduled.
• Set up and load hoppers and dryers per production requirements.
• Monitor material inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Perform color or material changes as needed for production runs.
• Operate grinders to reprocess scrap material when applicable.
• Maintain proper labeling and segregation of materials.
• Document material usage and movements accurately in inventory systems.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of material handling equipment (hoppers, dryers, loaders).
• Ensure safe handling of all materials and compliance with safety procedures.
• Support mold changeovers by coordinating material preparation and cleanup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production floor and material storage areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
• Previous experience in plastics injection molding environment strongly preferred.
Skills:
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, material lists, and production schedules.
• Basic math skills for tracking material usage.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a standing position for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
