Alarm System Technician

Barberton Mancan is assisting a local Akron company in need of a Alarm System Technician.
Open to Full time or Part time - Flexible hours
Pay based on experience $18 - $22 per hour.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform Installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Network infrastructure
• Maintenance, repair, testing and installation of access control, security system hardware, software, card readers, electronic locking hardware, linear power supplies and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems
• Reviews drawings and specification of access control/ security systems provides technical comments
• Support system testing (hardware and software) both in the field and at the monitoring locations
• Performs retro commissioning of existing security systems to ensure response is consistent with installed and working sequence of operations.
• Reviews networks and associated network performance as it pertains to the electronic security systems
• Oversees installation, maintenance and upgrades of all security systems
• Responsible for the proper operation of all security systems
• Prepares as built drawings for all systems previously and currently being installed.
• Associate of Arts with a Concentration in Information Technology, or equivalent certification.
• Candidates will be considered without a degree/ certification if they have relevant experience that demonstrates the knowledge required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
