POSITION: Fanuc Robotic Welder Operator
8 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. 40 hours per week at $17/hour.
BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for operating a Fanuc robotic welding machine safely and efficiently to produce high-quality welds according to job specifications. This role does not require programming responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of experience operating robotic welding equipment (Fanuc preferred)
Familiarity with production welding in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and follow basic blueprints or job traveler instructions
Experience using quality control tools like tape measures, squares, or calipers
Forklift operating experience is a plus
Good verbal communication skills: able to follow instructions and ask questions when needed
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be reliable and punctual
Capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in a fast-paced shop environment
Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Robotic Welder Operator must be able to meet the physical and mental demands of this job, which include:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 25 lbs. regularly
Pushing/pulling containers of material (assisted by hoist or conveyor when needed)
Visual acuity for weld quality inspection (depth, color, and peripheral vision required)
Ability to hear, speak, and understand instructions in a noisy environment
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES AND FUNCTIONS: INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
1. Operate Fanuc robotics MIG welding machines to complete repetitive welding tasks
2. Monitor weld quality and adjust part placement or fixtures as needed
3. Load and unload parts into fixtures safely
4. Perform basic inspections on completed welds to ensure quality standards are met
5. Recognize when a machine needs maintenance or attention and notify the supervisor
6. Clean and maintain work area, tools, and equipment
7. Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals
8. Follow all safety rules and procedures
9. Assist with training other operators as needed
10. Perform any other tasks assigned by your supervisor
