Mancan Staffing is hiring an experienced Slitter Operator for a reputable manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV! This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing high-quality slit materials and working in a fast-paced production environment.
🔧 Job Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate slitting machines according to work order specifications.
• Organize workloads and lead the slitting crew to meet production goals.
• Set up slitting heads, tension rolls, and overarms for each job.
• Tape and label finished coils using computer-generated labels.
• Measure and verify materials using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
• Record production results and comments in company systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
✅ Qualifications:
• Prior slitting experience required or prior experience as a Slitter Helper
• Ability to set up arbors and overarms.
• Proficiency with fractions, decimals, micrometers, and digital calipers.
• Ability to use a Rockwell tester to measure material hardness.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
