Mancan Staffing in Massillon is assisting a local company in Canal Fulton in their search for a diesel forklift operator. ***MUST HAVE DIESEL FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE***
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Diesel Forklift Operator. This is a 1st shift position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating diesel-powered forklifts to move, load, and unload heavy materials, finished concrete products, and supplies throughout the facility and yard.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a diesel forklift to load and unload trucks, move raw materials, and transport finished concrete products.
• Safely handle heavy and oversized materials, ensuring proper balance and placement.
• Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure proper operation and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as needed, including stacking, organizing, and maintaining a clean work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, production staff, and truck drivers to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
• Previous experience operating a diesel forklift (certification preferred).
• Experience in a concrete, construction, or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
