FINISH GRINDER needed in Perry on 2nd SHIFT. M-F, 3:30pm-12am $20-$22/HR based on experience. This position is temp-to-hire.
Job Summary
Responsible for setting up and tending grinding machines in order to grind various cutting inserts with materials such as PCD, PCBN, Carbide, and Ceramic. Follows instructions and charts during grinding procedure.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
• Operate machine tools such as manual and CNC grinders to produce parts.
• Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
• Determine grinding speeds and feed rates, fixturing and grinding wheel to be used.
• Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
• Use manual and computer-controlled machinery.
• Write basic programs.
• Modify programs in response to problems.
