Mancan is working with a restaurant in Walnut Creek seeking a grill cook. Days and hours scheduled will vary based on the needs of the restaurant and could include mornings and evenings. Pay is $15 per hour. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate based on attitude, attendance, and performance.
The role involves maintaining the grill station, adhering to food safety regulations, and working efficiently to deliver high-quality meals in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook various grilled items such as meats, vegetables, and other dishes according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Portion Control: Accurately portion ingredients and finished dishes according to restaurant guidelines.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization at the grill station, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely food preparation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a grill cook or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of grill cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure, strong attention to detail, and good time management.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
