Maintenance Technician

Barberton Mancan is assisting an Akron manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team!
Shift is 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay is based on experience $34-$42
This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate.
The primary responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
Previous experience as a press operator or in a similar industrial machine setup role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and handle repetitive tasks.
Knowledge of safety standards and ability to follow procedures strictly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific types of presses (e.g., offset, flexographic, stamping, hydraulic).
Forklift certification or other applicable machinery certifications.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
