💵 Pay Rate: $16/hour

• Perform precise hand stitching on fabric or garments
• Operate heat press equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain quality standards and meet production goals
• Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work with hands
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Here are some suggested questions to ask when interviewing for sewing experience. We aren’t looking for specific answers, but it they have sewing experience, they should be able to answer these questions to prove they know what they are talking about (for instance, they should be able to name a brand of a sewing machine, but it doesn’t matter if its not what we use, but it proves they have experience etc.)

Our sewing is a lot of label removal and sewing in a new label, but it can also be switching out buttons etc. So there is hand sewing and machine sewing.

3. What kinds of things have you sewn?
4. Have you sewn by hand, by machine, or both?
5. What type of sewing machine have you used?
6. Which types of stitches are you comfortable doing — by hand or machine? (answers should include things like (running stitch, backstitch, slip/ladder stitch, whip stitch)
7. Have you done any sewing in a production or factory setting?
8. How do you check your work to make sure it looks good?
9. Can you thread and adjust a machine on your own?
10. What types of fabrics have you worked with?
11. What part of sewing do you feel most confident in?
