POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary purpose is to set-up and operate CNC and/or manual machines, deburr product, and do inspection and SPC reports, when applicable, on products being manufactured.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set-up and troubleshooting of all jobs to be manufactured.
• Responsible for first piece inspection prior to engineering approval.
• Quality control/inspection of parts being manufactured including recording SPC data when applicable and using CMM as an inspection tool when applicable.
• Must be able to read and use mics, calipers, height gage and other quality instruments.
• Training of operators in machining and quality assurance of jobs being manufactured.
• Oversee all operators while they are running production.
• Maintenance of machines.
• Set-up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, saws, grinder and other equipment to manufacture parts and molds.
• Responsible for blueprint reading, plans, layouts, and can determine assembly method if necessary and sequence of operations.
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). An associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Math skills should include solid geometry and trigonometry. Must be able to read blueprints.
• Ability to interpret and create a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Some heavy lifting may be required
• Submit to background check and drug screen
• May be required to submit to respirator exam
