**Job Title:** General Laborer – 1st Shift (Monday-Friday)
**Location:** Wheatland, PA
**Shift:** 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM
**Pay:** $15 an hour
**Position Type:** Temp to Hire (resume and interview required)
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team at a well-established machine shop in Wheatland, PA. As a General Laborer, you will support the daily operations of the shop by assisting with various manual labor tasks, ensuring a safe and productive environment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position that offers an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term employment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist with machine setup, operation, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform general shop cleanup, including sweeping, organizing tools and materials, and removing debris.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Support machine operators and technicians in their daily tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material handling records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
