Front Desk Night Auditor

Mancan is working with a hotel in Walnut Creek seeking a night auditor. This is a part time position with the hours of 10:30 pm - 6:30 am, 2-4 nights per week, varying based upon the needs of the hotel. Must be available weekends. Pay is $16.75 per hour. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate based upon attitude, performance, and attendance.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during the overnight hours. Prior hotel experience is required. The Night Auditor will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient operation during the night shift, including light cleaning duties and breakfast preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests during the overnight hours.
- Check-in and check-out guests, handling reservations and inquiries.
- Conduct accurate and timely night audits to reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision.
- Perform light cleaning duties in the common areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Occasionally assist in the preparation of breakfast items for guests.
- Monitor and ensure the security of the hotel premises during the night.
- Respond to guest inquiries and emergencies in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly during night shifts.
- Strong computer skills for handling reservations and financial transactions.
- Basic understanding of finances or accounting required.
- Prior hotel front desk experience or night audit experience is a plus, but not required.
