Office Manager – Apple Creek, OH
Mancan has partnered with a well-established company in Apple Creek, OH seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Manager to join their team! This full-time position offers stability, variety, and the opportunity to make an impact in a busy, professional environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bookkeeping, payroll, project management, and general office administration, along with strong organizational and communication skills. The Office Manager will oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including computerized bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, tax reporting, project management, and clerical duties, ensuring the office remains organized, compliant, and running efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform all phases of bookkeeping using QuickBooks Premium Plus Contractor Edition 2024 (A/P, A/R, billing, general ledger, etc.)
• Prepare monthly financials, sales tax, and payroll tax reports
• Complete bank reconciliations and oversee deposits
• Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate tax filings and compliance
• Maintain employee files, new hire paperwork, and benefits information
• Work closely with the company’s CPA and insurance providers as needed
• Handle project management tasks – track job costs, maintain schedules, and update project files
• Maintain OSHA documentation and safety compliance with the company’s safety consultant
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with general office inquiries
• Order supplies, handle mailings, prepare proposals, and maintain organized records
• Coordinate advertising materials and mailing lists for marketing or customer outreach
• Assist management with maintaining employee handbooks, evaluations, and other HR documents
• Perform all tasks safely, efficiently, and with confidentiality
Qualifications:
• Prior experience as an Office Manager, Bookkeeper, or Administrative Professional
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Premium Plus Contractor Edition 2024, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
• Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and tax filing procedures
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Notary Public (preferred or willing to obtain)
