Mancan is currently looking for an HVAC Mechanic with experience in Refrigeration, and Chillwater.
MAJOR FUNCTION:
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair various types of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in a safe and cost-effective manner that supports the goals of the client.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience in heating-ventilation-air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, maintenance, and repair duties.
• Completion of an air conditioning (AC) certification and/or continuing education program.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Type I & Type II CFR certification.
*Must pass FBI fingerprinting background check
*Must pass drug screen
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification to handle refrigerants,
• NATE Residential Heating and Air Conditioning certificate.
• Light Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning certificate.
• Four (4) years of experience in the Indoor Air Quality and Food Equipment trade.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.
• Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.
• Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
• Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Lay out work, estimate costs, and requisition materials for assigned work orders.
• Repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Work with stockroom personnel to ensure adequate supply of replacement parts for necessary repairs.
• Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain, clean, and conduct routine preventative maintenance on air conditioning equipment.
• Utilize basic computer applications for communication, training, and record keeping.
• Assist in the instruction of personnel on specific tasks when required.
• Service and maintain all pumps related to HVAC equipment.
• Fabricate parts and equipment for HVAC equipment when needed.
• Log and review warranty data.
