🛠 Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Structural Fitter with strong fabrication and blueprint-reading abilities. You’ll be responsible for laying out, fitting, and assembling metal components used in structural frames, machinery bases, piping systems, pressure vessels, and more. This role requires precision, professionalism, and hands-on skill.
🔥 Key Responsibilities
Interpret detailed blueprints and engineering specifications
Lay out and position components using calipers, squares, measuring tools, and fixtures
Perform tack welding and welding in multiple positions
Cut, grind, and prep materials to accurate dimensions
Conduct inspections including hydrostatic testing, x-ray checks, and tolerance verification
Heat, bend, and form metal as required
Create templates and work aids to enhance fabrication accuracy
Adjust methods or setups based on material type, equipment, or project requirements
🎯 Qualifications
3+ years experience as a Structural Fitter OR 2 years vocational training + 1 year industry experience
Strong knowledge of welding, structural fabrication, and material handling
Ability to work independently, maintain exact tolerances, and follow safety standards
Familiarity with applicable welding codes and inspection requirements
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
