Maintenance Technician

Northfield Mancan has partnered with a Macedonia company who is searching for Maintenance Technicians. This will be 12 hour shifts 7:30pm-7:30am but must be able to train on 1st shift. Pay will be based on experience.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment availability by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting problems as well as working as part of a team to recommend and carry out solutions that minimize plant downtime. This person will impact the company by utilizing their extensive electrical and mechanical skills. They will contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results, and be able to work well with all members of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure proper operation of injection molding machinery and secondary processing equipment by completing repairs and preventive maintenance on items such as electrical and hydraulic motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and material handling systems; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Collaborate with production staff and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot issues.
• Understand, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
• Work safely and effectively with electrical panels and control systems, including high voltage/low voltage systems.
• Perform PLC trouble shooting and problem solve with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
• Provide support for both production and facilities equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required by the equipment manufacturer or as established by CPI.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment. 10-15 years’ experience preferred.
• Preference given to candidates who have education and strong practical experience in the areas of electrical, mechanical, control systems and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
• Must have demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills – both Mechanical and Electrical.
• Demonstrated experience with machine repair; experience with CNC machining equipment ideal.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with plant chilled water systems a plus.
