An established education institute is in need for an administrative assistant in the Kanawha City area! MUST HAVE one year of catering or event planning experience.
Catering Director
Hours are unknown- no set schedule, must schedule around events
Pay is $26/hr
Must be able to work weekends; up to 40-50 hours a week or more based on events
The Catering Director oversees all aspects of the university’s catering operations, including planning, coordinating, and executing on-campus events, receptions, conferences, and special functions. This role ensures exceptional food quality, service, and presentation while maintaining strong relationships with campus departments, student organizations, and external clients. The Catering Director is responsible for strategic planning, financial management, staff leadership, and continuous improvement of the university’s catering services.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all campus catering operations, including event planning, menu development, and service execution.
• Lead, train, and schedule catering and event staff to ensure high-quality service and presentation.
• Collaborate with campus departments, student groups, and external clients to coordinate events and special functions.
• Manage budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Work with culinary staff to design diverse, seasonal menus that meet dietary and sustainability goals.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Promote positive client relationships and continuously improve catering operations through feedback and performance analysis.
