Quality Systems Specialist

Mancan Medina is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Systems Specialist to ensure a Company in Brunswick, OH adherence to the IATF 16949 standard and specific requirements. This role is critical for maintaining our quality certifications, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that all products meet strict automotive quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating audit activities and providing training and support across departments. This is for 1st shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct internal, supplier, and customer audits to assess adherence to quality standards, including the management of third-party certification audits.
Develop, maintain, and control quality documentation and procedures in accordance with IATF and customer requirements.
Record, track, and ensure the effective closure of all internal and external audit findings and nonconformities using robust root cause analysis techniques.
Identify training needs and provide guidance and support to team members and process owners regarding quality systems, policies, and procedures.
Utilize and support the Application Part Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) core tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or quality management role within the automotive manufacturing sector.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the IATF 16949 quality management system and related customer-specific requirements.
IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification required; Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to address complex quality issues and implement effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex requirements and lead cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with the PLEX system.
