Lab Technician/Assistant

Cambridge Mancan Staffing is searching for an exceptional candidate to join a prominent Cambridge company in the role of Lab Technician.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in conducting chemical laboratory testing and analysis of materials. This dynamic position entails a variety of responsibilities, including machinery setup, product weighing, research, and process control. While proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook is preferred, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the right fit thrives in this role. The position entails a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts, with 4 days on and 4 days off, alternating between 6 am to 6 pm and 6 pm to 6 am.
Responsibilities:
- Execute chemical laboratory testing following established procedures and protocols.
- Conduct precise and accurate material analysis using diverse laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Set up necessary machinery and equipment for laboratory testing and analysis.
- Prepare samples for testing, ensuring proper handling and labeling.
- Conduct product research to support testing and analysis activities.
- Assist in controlling processes to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Manage data using MS Excel and Outlook for entry, analysis, and reporting purposes.
- Maintain laboratory equipment cleanliness and functionality through regular maintenance and calibration.
- Adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols and procedures, including proper chemical handling and disposal.
- Foster a clean and organized work environment to meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency and timely task completion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in applied science preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a laboratory or chemical testing environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and effective task prioritization abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
