Self-motivated candidate to begin learning mfg process as a Press Operator - Alliance Train on 1st & then move to 2nd shift
**Position:** Printing Press Operator
**Shifts Available:** 2nd
**Starting Pay: B.O.E 💵
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain high-speed converting press equipment used to produce labels, tags, and related materials. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precise attention to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Setup & Operation
Set up and operate converting press equipment according to job tickets and production specifications.
Perform accurate web-handling tasks, including splicing master rolls of face stock and liners.
Calibrate sensors, adjust settings, and maintain proper web tension.
Operate inline rotary die-cutting, slitting, perforation, and waste matrix removal systems.
Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning rollers, lubricating gears, and inspecting dies.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Accurately record production data and follow all quality and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use hand tools, read rulers/calipers, and understand basic mechanical systems.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computerized interface panels (HMIs) and calibrating machine sensors.
Attention to Detail: Able to detect visual defects such as print alignment, registration issues, and die-cut accuracy.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods (8–12 hour shifts).
Ability to lift and mount heavy rolls of paper/film (up to 50 lbs).
Good color vision and fine motor skills for precise adjustments.
