Construction Technician
Location: Novelty, OH
Pay: $18–$20/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (occasional evenings/weekends due to weather and seasonal needs)
Mancan, in partnership with a Novelty-area facility, is seeking Construction Technicians to join a growing outdoor construction and hardscape installation team.

Position Summary
The Construction Technician is responsible for performing physically demanding work on outdoor construction and hardscape installation projects. This role involves operating hand and power tools, preparing and maintaining job sites, assisting foremen and skilled tradespeople, and completing projects safely and efficiently. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with year-round responsibilities, including seasonal snow operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Perform outdoor construction, hardscape, and landscape-related tasks as assigned
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction/landscape equipment
* Prepare, clean, and secure job sites daily to eliminate safety hazards
* Load and unload trucks and haul materials to and from job sites
* Assist foremen and team members to complete projects on schedule
* Perform opening and closing duties at job sites
* Participate in snow operations, including snow removal and area management (hours may vary during snow events)
* Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly
* Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one prior to employment
* Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the role
* Knowledge of construction, landscape, or hardscape tools, equipment, and materials
* Understanding of safety practices and first aid basics
* Ability to work independently and follow daily schedules
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor conditions
* Strong attendance, reliability, and communication skills
* Bilingual candidates are a plus

* 50% paid after 90 days
* Remaining 50% paid after 1 year of employment
Physical Demands & Work Environment
* Regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
* Exposure to loud noise and moving mechanical equipment
* Requires prolonged standing, walking, lifting, bending, and constant physical activity
* Must have strong stamina, coordination, manual dexterity, and visual acuity (near/far vision)
