A Barberton area company is looking for a self-motivated, detail and deadline driven Accounts Receivable Clerk.
8a-2p Monday-Friday.
Pay is $18/hr.
This is a temp to hire position.
As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling customer accounts and good at following processes with a high degree of organizational ability. Since you will be using technology to expedite your work, you must be proficient with computers, systems, billing and accounting programs. The goal is to contribute to the accurate posting of accounts receivable, maintain current aging of accounts receivable, as well as perform any other duties in regard to this area of accounting.
Essential Functions-
Enter daily checks, electronic funds transfers, credit cards, and COD for the Route Service Representative’s daily deposit.
On Mondays close out the prior week and handle weekly charge customers: print out statements/invoices, e-mail statements, invoices, and charge credit card customers.
Update and send customer spreadsheets.
Charge all credit card customers monthly.
Print, mail, and e-mail monthly customer statements.
Review customer credits on a monthly basis.
Follow up with customers that had a credit card payment failure or e-mail statement failure.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies.
Maintain trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
Perform receptionist duties when needed.
Retrieve documents and files when requested.
Create, edit, and update various ad hoc spreadsheets.
Work with past due customers and service team members to bring account balances current.
Respond to customer emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
Required education and experience-
High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus one year of office support experience.
Possess great interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to make collection calls effectively.
Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook); working knowledge of relevant software will be beneficial.
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback.
Strong teamwork skills and ready and willing to work closely with other team members.
Works well in a fast paced office environment.
Reliability- attendance and transportation.
Must have great data entry skills and excellent general math skills
Must pass a pre employment background check and drug screen.
