Barberton Mancan is assisting an Akron manufacturing company seeking an experienced CMM programmer.
7a-3:30p Monday-Friday
Pay is BOE- starting at 45k/yr
This is a temp to hire opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), in addition to providing support to the Quality Department through tasks related to the manufacturing process, i.e. inspection, documentation, and calibration.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Program and operate CMM using Open-DMIS software
• Analyze and interpret part prints and tolerances
• Collection of SPC data
• Capability studies and Gage R&R
• Assist with PPAP submissions
• Assist with APQP documentation
• Perform calibration of gages and inspection tools
• Provide a cooperative environment for feedback and communication among all associated departments
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) training
• Beneficial to have CAD training
• Part print interpretation
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Metal stamping inspection
• Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Ability to work independently while also able to work in a team atmosphere giving fellow team members assistance for completion of daily duties
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solving skills
• MSA studies
• Calibration
Must pass a pre employment background check and drug screen
