Mancan is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to support facility and production equipment operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Job duties:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including PLCs, CNC systems, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment. The role applies electrical and mechanical principles, written specifications, electrical codes, and company safety policies to plan and perform maintenance work. Responsibilities include installing, starting up, and shutting down equipment in compliance with OSHA lockout/tagout procedures, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, maintaining maintenance and inventory records, and identifying potential equipment issues or safety concerns. The role also supports overall equipment efficiency by assisting with preventive maintenance planning, providing technical support to maintenance staff, and training or mentoring less experienced employees. When assigned, the position may also assume Maintenance Working Leader responsibilities.
We are looking for someone skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including PLCs, CNC systems, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment. The ideal candidate can plan and perform work using knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, specifications, codes, and safety procedures, including OSHA lockout/tagout compliance. Responsibilities include installing, starting up, and shutting down equipment, maintaining maintenance and inventory records, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and assisting with technical troubleshooting.
This role also involves supporting and training other maintenance staff, leading teams when assigned, operating equipment safely and efficiently, and ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety systems, and relevant electrical codes (NEC and NFPA 70E). The candidate must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform other related duties as needed to maintain high equipment efficiency and facility operations.
Education Required: Two-year technical degree, completion of an accredited apprenticeship program, or equivalent experience in the technical repair field.
Work Environment: Primarily in a heavy manufacturing setting with frequent walking, standing, and occasional sitting. Exposure to noise, dust, dirt, and fumes may occur. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving stooping, bending, reaching, climbing, and working around metal parts and machinery.
