Job Opening: City Auditor
Seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, non-partisan City Auditor position to serve the remainder of the charter term through December 1, 2027.
• Must be a resident of Nelsonville and a qualified elector for at least one year prior to the election (before November 2026).

Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $60,000/year
• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accounting records and general ledger
• Oversee city revenues and expenditures
• Process payroll and accounts payable
• Manage annual audits, benefits, and pension reporting
• Oversee municipal income tax collection
• Prepare required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Supervise three full-time staff members
• Serve as a financial advisor and fiduciary to City Council
