Mancan Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. Title and responsibilities will be determined progressively based on skill level and expertise within the job group.
Job Summary-
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing building equipment maintenance and repair, maintaining proper environmental conditions within the facility, and performing light construction activities as needed. This position ensures all equipment and facility operations meet applicable local, state, and federal safety guidelines. The ideal candidate actively supports company goals, vision, and core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
(Additional responsibilities may be assigned progressively based on skill level.)
Maintain facility and equipment to acceptable standards of operating accuracy, safety, and cleanliness.
Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks
Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors and contractors (HVAC, electrical, construction, landscaping, etc.)
Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Achieve positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and team relations
Manage multiple priorities effectiv.
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
Read and interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic schematics
Assist with hazardous waste management, including cleaning, weighing, and maintaining materials.
Maintain building cleanliness while following all safety procedures.
Participate in 5S, ISO, lean initiatives, and other company programs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks independantly.
Required Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general building maintenance (structural, plumbing, carpentry)
Ability to troubleshoot equipment, machinery, and controls.
Experience with preventative maintenance and repair.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements -
Regularly required to talk, listen, walk, and.
Occasionally required to stand, reach, handle tools, and operate office equipment.
Must frequently lift and/or move 35–75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
