Starting pay is $18/hr but BOE

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to ensure our facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventive upkeep of building systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical)
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently
Maintain the building interior and exterior, including lighting, flooring, doors, windows, and fixtures
Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns and safety hazards
Troubleshoot and repair equipment or call in specialized vendors as needed
Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts
Follow safety protocols and comply with local building codes and regulations
Assist with setup, relocation, or remodeling projects within the facility
Document work completed and communicate with management regarding ongoing maintenance needs
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school training a plus
Proven experience in building maintenance, repair, or related field
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical systems
Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical instructions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in various conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Requirements:
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (typically 50–75 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
Basic hand and power tool proficiency
Good communication skills
Valid driver’s license with no points
Reliable personal transportation
Ability to be on call for emergency maintenance situations
Successfully pass a pre-employment background check
