Mancan Staffing is currently seeking an installer for a canvas and upholstery company on Marco Island.
Position Summary
Pay: $18 to $ 23 per hour - depending on experience
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Installer to join our upholstery and canvas team. This position is responsible for the on-site installation, fitting, and adjustment of custom boat covers, marine enclosures, awnings, and patio enclosures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
• Install custom boat covers, bimini tops, marine enclosures, awnings, and patio enclosures
• Measure, test-fit, and make field adjustments to ensure proper alignment and tension
• Install hardware including snaps, tracks, zippers, frames, brackets, and support systems
• Work with materials such as marine canvas, vinyl, clear enclosure panels, and aluminum framing
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot fit or structural issues and communicate with shop team for modifications
• Provide professional customer service during on-site installations
• Ensure job sites are clean and safe before and after installation
• Follow company safety standards and installation procedures

Qualifications
• Previous experience in marine canvas, upholstery, awning installation, construction, carpentry, or related field preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read measurements accurately
• Experience using drills, rivet guns, saws, and other hand/power tools
• Comfortable working on boats, docks, ladders, and elevated surfaces
• Ability to lift 40 and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of marine hardware and fastening systems
• Familiarity with aluminum framing and enclosure systems
• Basic understanding of canvas fabrication and patterning
• Experience with snap tools and marine-grade materials

• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting
• Exposure to sun, wind, and seasonal weather conditions
