Maintenance Mechanic – Temp-to-Hire Pay: $30.00/hr Schedule: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Ready to join a team where your skills keep production moving? We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment in a temperature-controlled food manufacturing facility, ensuring the plant operates safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. What You’ll Do • Maintain and repair production equipment including spiral freezers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and sewage treatment equipment • Maintain and repair facility equipment, the building, and outside premises • Assemble and disassemble production equipment as needed • Perform maintenance shop duties including upkeep of shop equipment • Design and fabricate specialty items for production equipment (welding required) • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make on-the-spot repairs to minimize downtime • Maintain logs including plant temperature logs, compressor readings, ammonia refrigeration logs, sewage pre-treatment logs, and repair records • Perform scheduled weekend and/or holiday equipment checks • Follow QA guidelines to ensure food safety and product quality standards • Comply with plant safety, security, and incident reporting policies • Train new team members when requested • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled production environment Required Qualifications • High school diploma or GED • 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or food processing • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (REQUIRED) • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems (REQUIRED) • Experience with 480V 3-phase electrical systems, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors, and welding • Ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills • Proficient with shop tools, equipment disassembly, repair, and electrical troubleshooting • Ability to learn new equipment and recommend improvements • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team • Ability to follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) programs Physical Requirements • Work in a temperature-controlled food production environment with exposure to noise, cold, heat, fumes, cleaners, and other elements • Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally • Prolonged standing and walking • Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, squatting, or crawling • Ability to move safely in confined spaces • Repetitive use of fine motor skills working with small parts and tools • Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and other protective equipment • Perform visual inspections of equipment and respond to team communication needs Why Mancan? • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacation & holidays • Weekly pay & direct deposit • Referral bonuses • Work for some of the area’s top companies, including Fortune 500 How to Apply • Apply online: www.mancan.com • Walk-ins welcome Mon–Fri, 9 AM – 3 PM Bring 2 forms of government ID and your resume 📞 740-452-4222 📧 zanesvillejobs@mancan.com #DINDI
