Lead Cook

A local Zanesville company that specializes in banquets, buffets, catering, and special events is looking for an experienced Head Cook to join their team. This position is responsible for leading kitchen operations, preparing high-quality meals, and ensuring events run smoothly.
Job Duties:
Prepare and cook food for banquets, buffets, catered events, and special functions
Plan food preparation and coordinate with kitchen staff
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
Help with menu planning and food presentation
Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed
Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and served on schedule for events
Requirements:
Previous cooking or kitchen leadership experience preferred
Experience with large batch cooking, buffets, or banquet-style service is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team
