Mancan Staffing has teamed up with a steel company in Mogadore who is looking for experienced Overhead Crane Cab Operator. This is temp to hire. Must have good attendance and experience with all the of job duties.
Steel toed work boots required. Must have a valid driver's license with 2 points.
Must be willing to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
6am-2pm Monday - Friday.
Pay rate is $21.00 - $23.00
Overhead Crane Cab Operator
2-4 years of experience operating cab drive cranes in a factory setting.
Must have experience on 20-ton cranes or bigger.
Must have experience with tandem trolly cranes.
This type of crane may be described as any of the following: Bridge Crane Cab Operator, Overhead Cab Crane Operator, in other industries it could be called a Hot-Metal Crane Operator.
Overhead Crane Cab Operator Definition:
1. Operates traveling overhead crane from a cab located on the crane, using magnets, chains and hooks to lift and move bulk material and cut parts.
2. Load and unload trucks as needed.
3. Sorts paperwork (Production Orders) by priority and loads the machines accordingly.
4. While in the crane cab, manipulate levers, buttons and pedals simultaneously to operate the crane in as safe manner.
5. Clean and Inspect crane for defective parts.
6. Maintain crane as needed with the help of Maintenance and Supervision.
Typical duties of manufacturing Overhead Cab Crane Operator revolve around the safe and efficient movement of heavy materials and finished products within the factory setting, they must combine hands-on operation with strict adherence to safety protocols and regular equipment inspections.
