Canton Mancan is working with a wiring company downtown Canton that is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Counter Sales Clerk to join our team.
This role is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, processing transactions, and providing product knowledge to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about electrical products and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Provide product information and recommend solutions based on customer needs.
Maintain organized and stocked sales counters and shelves
Handle customer inquiries, returns, and basic complaint.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure product availability.
Assist with inventory counts and restocking.
Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquires.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent requir.
Previous retail or sales experience preferred (electrical or hardware experience is a plus).
Basic knowledge of electrical products is an asset (training provided).
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 50bs.
Comfortable working in a warehouse/retail environment
